Overview

BITS offers a full product line of Voice & Data services designed for community banks. Our product line transports Voice, Video, Core & ATM Processing, and Internet from the branch routers to their destination. We provide full circuit and hardware redundancy with built in Encryption and Network Security as well as a safe solution for your employees to remotely access your data network. Finally, our state of the art data center facility co-locates hardware at a fraction of prevailing market cost.

The foundation of our full product line is Branch-to-Branch MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) Network Connectivity. MPLS technology is the foundation of an IP-based infrastructure for Voice and Data. It was developed to improve the reliability and increase the performance of existing network technologies such as Frame Relay, DSL and Cable connections.

Forrester Research says most banks, and financial institutions will have transitioned to MPLS for next-generation network applications by 2010.

MPLS provides networks with a more efficient way to manage applications and move information between branch/bank locations. With the convergence of voice, image capturing, video and data applications, business networks face increasing traffic demands. MPLS enables class of service (CoS) tagging and prioritization of network traffic, so administrators may specify which applications should move across the network ahead of others. This function makes an MPLS network especially important to firms that need to ensure the performance of low-latency applications such as IP Telephony and their other business-critical functions. MPLS carriers differ on the number of classes of service they offer and in how these CoS tiers are priced. Some community banks are utilizing MPLS without having implemented CoS throughout the network.

The "I" in BITS is for "Infrastructure," not "Information." BITS does not process or store any bank information, nor do we provide PC & Server support, for any applications related to the LAN (Local Area Network - the data network inside your branches). • We manage the implementation process from A to Z, from the initial WAN network design to final deployment and customer training.
• We order, install, provision and test Routers, Switches, and Desk Phones.
• BITS is a Cisco Premier certified partner and we pass on our full discount to our customers!
• We order, install, provision and test WAN MPLS circuits.
• We connect you to the Internet and configure a centralized Firewall and IDS.
• With years of experience working with 3rd party service providers, we provide connectivity through both BITS Data Centers in Harrisburg PA and Newark NJ. This includes Core Processors, ATM Providers, and other Third Parties that provided services to our customers.
• We port existing phone numbers and establish connectivity with the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) through both of our BITS Data Centers.
• We configure call patterns to your specific requirements.
• We setup and provision backup servers at our Co-location facility.
• We manage the WAN network, LAN Switching, and IP Phones including upgrades & patches.
