| ACBB-BITS, LLC is funded and fully owned by Atlantic Central Bankers Bank (ACBB)—which is based in Camp Hill, PA. and has assisted community banks in competing more effectively since being founded by over 40 community banks in 1983. Today, ACBB has over 300 community bank shareholders in PA, NJ, NY, MD, and DE and provides services to another 200 community banks. Taken together, these 500 community banks have over 5,000 branch locations. This heritage uniquely positions BITS to continue the tradition by bringing 21st century IP telephony and converged network services to ACBB’s community banks.
BITS was founded in February 2005 after receiving approval from the Pennsylvania state banking authorities and US Federal Reserve Bank to provide a converged communication infrastructure and enhanced communications services exclusively to the ACBB community banks.
After one year of development and field testing and with several million dollars of start-up capital, BITS has emerged with a comprehensive solution that allows ACBB members to avoid the pitfalls and costs of implementing these next generation converged network technologies alone.
By leveraging the power of 500 ACBB members to negotiate lower costs, BITS provides community banks with a customizable solution that offers a full range of voice and data communications services. BITS is a converged voice and data services provider exclusively to ACBB community banks, and can help you save money while delivering the scalable resources you need for a bright future.
BITS offers an all-in-one turn-key solution to community banks, which includes not only the converged network hardware and IP phones, but also the MPLS network connectivity for converged voice and data, all for a fixed monthly price.
BITS is a Cisco partner and has negotiated wholesale pricing agreements with AT&T, Verizon, VeriSign, and XO Communications that together may be able to save community banks between 5%-20% on their monthly cost for local and domestic phone calls, critical data transport, security, surveillance, and internet access.
Now, community bankers can have one trusted partner for all of their local and long distance calling, phone equipment, WAN infrastructure, and network security, allowing them to go back to doing what they do best – being community bankers and serving their local communities.
